Mets 6 - Braves 5
Jose Lima faltered in the fourth inning of a start for the second time in a row as the Mets came from behind in the ninth to beat the Braves in Port St. Lucie. After holding Atlanta scoreless over the first 3, Lima gave up a pair of runs in the fourth, including a home run to Matt Diaz. Jeremi Gonzalez, another candidate for fifth starter/long relief followed, and got pasted good, giving up 3 runs in 3-1/3 innings. He struck out 5 while walking none, but got touched up for 6 hits. Chad Bradford was ineffective also, while Billy Wagner pitched a scoreless ninth.
Kaz Matsui had a hit his first time up, then injured his knee sliding into second and had to leave the game. He's day to day. Cliff Floyd was 3-3 including a home run and 3 RBIs. Lastings Milledge had 2 hits and scored twice. Victor Diaz and Ramon Castro drove in the tying and winning runs in the ninth.
Steve Trachsel will face the Dodgers tomorrow night in Vero Beach.
