I thought I might take a moment here to take advantage of all the traffic my stand on Keith Hernandez has generated. Before you click on the email link to tell me how much you hate my guts, take a moment to support Mets fans who still do not have access to SNY, and were not able to be offended by Keith's remarks this past weekend.
If by some chance you are a baseball writer whose arm is tired from the strain of reaching around and patting yourself on the back for your enlightened attitude in this matter, and was looking for something more constructive to do in print than poke fun at Hernandez' hair dye commercials, may I suggest calling attention to Mets fans in the tri-state area whose cable systems are not carrying the network? Just a thought.
Below are links to a pair of web sites by loyal Mets fans who are fighting their local cable companies. Please give them your support. We won't stop calling attention to them in this space until every Mets fan in the local area has access to SportsNet New York. If you're in the same boat, and have a web site, on-line petition or other grass-roots effort that I can help by publicizing, please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks, Mike, for your continued support. I know I say it every time, but it is truly appreciated.
Hopefully the insanity will end soon (at least in my case), with Comcast scheduled to assume control of SusCom's operations next Monday. The word SusCom is giving its customers now is that Comcast considers adding SNY a "top priority." Of course, I'll believe that when I see it, but there could finally be a light at the end of the tunnel.

That's good to hear, wish the same would happen to my ex-cable company. We hear it may be August before Comcast takes over. Mets fans might be screwed for the entire season unless Adelphia makes the deal themselves.
