SI.com's John Heyman and WFAN are both reporting that the Mets and David Wright have agreed to a 6-year, $55 million contract with an option for a seventh year. Coming on the heels of Jose Reyes' signing earlier in the week, the Mets have ensured that their 2 young all-stars will be together for a long time.

Chris "Mad Dog" Russo is right now going his usual crazy over Wright's contract being more then Reyes.. sometimes you just cannot listen to him. ugh.

Matt -- I stopped listening to him quite a while ago. I used to listen every day. This stuff just gets old, familiar and boring eventually.
