The Phillies were beaten by the Atlanta Braves tonight 4-1, lowering the Mets' magic number to one. Their fate is in their own hands tomorrow night in Pittsburgh -- if they win, they can celebrate their NL east title on the field after the game.

SIKE! Hope it feels great to be watching the playoffs WITHOUT your team in the mix, but at least your letdowns can come early this season. Let's face it-- this is a blessing in disguise, for you don't have to watch your team tragically choke away another golden opportunity to go to the World Series!
