Game One Postponed

Mother Nature has thrown a monkey wrench into the plans of MLB, postponing tonight's game until tomorrow night. Here is the official press release from the Mets web site:
Game 1 of National League Championship Series postponed

Game 1 of the 2006 National League Championship Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets has been postponed and rescheduled for Friday in New York.

Those fans who hold tickets that say Game 1 will now be able to use them only for Friday's game at a time to be determined. Those fans who hold tickets that say Game 2 will still be able to use them on Thursday with an air time of 8:00 p.m., as originally planned.

Pay attention to that ticket info if you have tickets to either game. The loss of Friday as an off day means the Mets and Cardinals will now play five straight games, necessitating that the game 1 starter (Glavine) would start game 5 on short rest, or the Mets reach down to Darren Oliver as a fifth starter.
