For the first time in my 38 seasons with the Mets, I'll be attending a playoff game tonight. Since I live fairly far from NYC, I'm not going to be back until very, very late tonight. So if I don't answer comments or don't get the game post up until tomorrow, it's not because I don't love you guys.
I'm heading out shortly for a doctor's appointment, then on to NYC. Let's go Mets!

That game was sick!!! I jumped up and down like a mad man and now have no voice.

I remember...the postseason is distinctly different from the regular season. But in the imaginary sports pages of my mind, in the column called "Streak", there's a "W-8" next to the Mets.
There are no guarantees in the playoffs, but I'm feeling real positive about that number turning into a "W-9" tonight.
Can't wait to hear your firstand perspective, Mike!

Benny - Not only was my voice gone, but my hands hurt from clapping so hard all night. That was quite an experience.

NostraDennis - Carpenter vs Maine is a tough match up for us, but I feel that we have a real chance to take this game, too.
