I'm giving myself the day off from thinking about Barry Zito. Even the Post's Michael Morrissey, who has entertained us all week by finding fun ways to put a dire pessimistic spin on just about everything that has happened, seems to have become bored with the story. I don't blame him. There's only so many ways that you can say that no decision is imminent.
I'd like to thank all of you for your camaraderie and support over the past year, and wish you and your loved ones a happy and safe holiday season.
I will try to post over the weekend and on Monday if there is anything worthwhile to talk about. Speculation on what Barry Zito might choose to do and why doesn't qualify.

He has us all locked up in an big box under the Mike's Mets Christmas tree. I don't know what he's gonna do with us, but he said something about lords-a-leapin', and there are ten of us.
Shhhhh...can't talk now, I hear him coming, and his dog is sniffing around. No. NO! Not on the BOX!!!

Patrick - This is a tough time of year to blog. I'm happy with the contributions so far, but like I said, even the professional beat writers seem to be getting bored with the whole "will he, won't he" Zito thing.
