According to all of the beat writers' blogs, Carlos Delgado's wife has gone into labor and he has left camp to be with her. Good luck to the first time Dad.
Lisa and I will be closing on our house this afternoon. We'll be leaving in a few minutes. I'll be DVR'ing Orlando Hernandez' afternoon start against the Cardinals, and will comment on it later.
I've done a guest shot on the excellent Phillies Flow blog, answering some of Erik's questions about my thoughts on the Mets and the NL east. Erik will return the favor some point soon and share his thoughts with us.
Well, wish us luck. Catch you later on.

Good luck to you in your new home, Mike! Good luck to all of these new beginnings! I guess this is great news about Delgado. I suppose it means that he won't be missing any regular season games. Hate to be selfish about it, but after all...

Some closings seem to take forever, and others whip by like a 1-2-3 inning. Hope yours was the latter.

Thanks, Dana. How about if we root for the baby to be healthy and for Delgado to have the game winner on opening day.

geezer - closing went fine. Lisa is very excited about all of the work she can now make me do...
