Many of the regular commenters on this site are familiar with "rev al", a huge Mets fan who has a prison ministry in northeastern Pennsylvania. Al is in the hospital right now after suffering a heart attack the end of August. Although still in intensive care, Al is doing much better. If anyone wants to send Al their best wishes in the comments, we'll pass them along to him.
By the way, Al, you are not allowed to watch Billy Wagner try to close out any games for the remainder of the season.

Rev,
Doctor Mike's prescription is right: no late-inning viewing, listening, or even computer-watching. How's about this - we'll e-mail you when they've wrapped it up.
All kidding aside, we're all praying for your speedy recovery.

Rev, hang in there. We may need some divine intervention to get to October, and you're certainly qualified to get us there.

Get well soon Al. Ditto the above advice on watching Wagner close games!

Hey Rev, get better, we need all the support we can muster for the remainder of the season. First and foremost is your health, take care and I'll keep you in my prayers.

So sorry to learn of your run of bad health. You are in our prayers, Reverend Al.
And we've saved you a spot on the post season roster, too; what more can you ask for than that?
Get well soon, bro.
