My work schedule has not allowed me to keep up this blog in the manner I wish to. For archive purposes, here are the box score links to games that I have missed. I will also update the starting pitchers stats.

Just a quick observation. I think most Mets fans concede that Marlon Anderson's slide into 2B was interference. Having said that, please give me a break when crew chief Joe West had the following to say about it:

...(Bucknor) made a great call, and he made a gutsy call he should be commended for. This is a big series, a big game, and he didn't back down from the call at all.

That would have been a "gutsy call" if Bucknor made it against the home team. Give me a break. If umpires spent more time getting calls right and less time patting themselves on the back, the game would be infinitely better -- especially a guy like Bucknor who flat out blows more than his share of calls.

Nice game for Oliver Perez, who has rediscovered his velocity. Now he needs to tighten up his control back to where it was earlier in the year.

El Duque's foot injury puts his season on hold, Billy Wagner's continued woes cause me to lose more of my hair.

About Mike: I was the original writer on this web site, actually its only writer for the first 15 months of existence. Although I am grateful for the excellent contributions of my fellow writers here, I have no plans of stepping back into strictly an editorial role. I started this thing in the first place because I love to write and I love the Mets, and blogging here keeps me somewhat sane. If you haven't had enough already, more bio info can be found here.
