Archived Pitching Stats and Previews

I've created this page for the purpose of archiving pitching previews and starting pitching stats from previous years. I will begin tracking the stats of the 2009 Mets starting rotation as soon as they pitch their first games.

Here are the links to the 2008 stats for the starters, including the departed Pedro Martinez and Claudio Vargas:

Phillip Humber has moved on in the Johan Santana trade, but Mike Pelfrey, Jason Vargas and Adam Bostick still remain.

2007 Pitching Previews

I wrote these previews last spring when there were so many jobs to be won in spring training. The final "Summing It All Up" piece can be found here.

Individual preview links are below, seperated by pitchers who are still here and those who have moved on:

In addition to tracking Mets starting pitchers in 2008, I also have plans to write some pieces similar in content to last season's pitching previews. Subjects will include Jon Niese, Bobby Parnell and perhaps some of the young pitchers the Mets drafted in 2007.

Let's go Mets!

About Mike: I was the original writer on this web site, actually its only writer for the first 15 months of existence. Although I am grateful for the excellent contributions of my fellow writers here, I have no plans of stepping back into strictly an editorial role. I started this thing in the first place because I love to write and I love the Mets, and blogging here keeps me somewhat sane. If you haven't had enough already, more bio info can be found here.
