Earlier this year, the SNY network was showing the Playing for Peanuts documentary series chronicling former Met Wally Bachman's return to managing with the independent minor league South Georgia Peanuts.
Producer John Fitzgerald and the Mets network had a falling out and the shows were pulled. You could read about that here if you are interested.
Fitzgerald now intends to air all episodes of his show for free on the internet. If you were hoping to get a chance to see it, now's your chance.
If you're not into watching internet video, there is also a link to pre-order the DVD of the whole series which will be released in October. That might make an interesting stocking stuffer for a Mets fan like me with fond memories of Bachman. Are you listening, Lisa?
